The practice focuses on themes such as transforming and redesigning operations, supply chains, warehousing, (digital) logistics and smart factories. Within these domains, the Logistics & Fulfilment team focuses specifically on helping clients to optimize their Logistics & Fulfilment operations, driving efficiency and enabling sustainable growth. Typically, this is achieved through accompanying organizations in the implementation of company-wide end-to-end Logistics transformation programs - from strategy and concept to development and implementation.
For our SC&O Consulting practice in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), we are looking for a Manager Logistics & Fulfilment to strengthen our Logistics & Fulfilment Consulting team.
Your key responsibilities
The Manager Logistics & Fulfilment is the driving force behind meaningful transformation projects at our clients. Your key role will be to deliver projects that improve our client’s business performance. Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will manage logistics transformation projects and identify- and start new related projects. Further responsibilities are:
- Support Senior Logistics & Fulfilment Executives at global companies in designing and executing transformative strategies in Logistics and Fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships and identify new business opportunities in an international environment (e.g. by responding to RFP’s, developing proposals and thought leadership).
- Support the design and implementation of comprehensive logistics strategies, including digital enablement. This includes knowledge of and working with digital tools such as WMS, TMS and Logistics control towers in collaboration with technology teams and 3rd parties.
- Maintain an understanding of advancements in technology and innovations which are happening across (digital logistics), analytics, hyper automation, the supply chain ecosystem and broader marketplace.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Ideally, 6 – 8 years’ experience in supply chain management or consulting, with specific expertise in logistics, operational excellence, and digital tools (e.g. TMS, WMS, OMS, control towers, etc.)
- Excellent analytical capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit, intrinsic motivation to help establish & strengthen relationships with our clients, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills and pragmatism in execution.
- Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify and cultivate quality relationships, transforming them into business opportunities and effectively selling consulting projects to drive sustained business growth
- Leadership experience with a people-oriented mindset and commitment to support the development of others, through taking on coaching and counselling roles for team members in an international environment.
- Minimum WO master certificate (for example a degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related) and fluent language skills in English.
Ideally, you will also have
- Certification and/or hands-on (extended) working experience with tools such as Blue Yonder TMS/WMS, SAP TM and Aera etc.
- Experience working with both Senior Executives and shop floor personnel at client companies.
- An open and flexible mindset on working abroad and on working on different projects within the supply chain.
- Experience in logistics decarbonization programs development and delivery to multinational clients.
- Command of Dutch language skills.
