Teamlead CISO CoE Infrastructure Security
At a glance
We are looking for an infrastructure security leader that can work with our infrastructure colleagues to ensure that our IT infrastructure is and remains secure. We are looking for a content leader, someone that can build effective and cooperative relations and bridges with our infrastructure department, and that can lead our Infrastructure Security team (approx. 14 FTE). In this capacity you are also part of the MT CISO Technology & Engineering, and part of the wider leadership team within our CISO department.
Your job
As our Expert Lead for Infrastructure Security you act in a quick-paced and continuously changing environment. We have a hybrid platform strategy, with internal platforms as well as external cloud platforms. And of course also a complete workplace estate. We aim to standardize and secure as much as possible through automation and adopting new features. Our CoE therefore needs to stay on top of infrastructure developments, within our organization in interaction with our IT infrastructure teams, but also outside our organization in the marketplace. We act as a trusted advisor on the future of our infrastructure security, but also monitor current security levels and are not afraid to intervene when necessary. This requires a balance between positive communication, active stakeholder management, in-depth infrastructure knowledge and a security risk management mindset.
Relevant topics that you might encounter in this position are migrations to public cloud, re-platforming initiatives, strengthening network security, new regulatory requirements (for instance encryption and data protection), security control automation, and the design of an (even more) secure infrastructure in the future.
Working environment
CISO is the central information security department of ABN AMRO, responsible for information security bank wide. We employ a centralized security governance model, with a CISO department of around 500 FTE. That means that you can work in a professional security environment with many peers. CISO Technology & Engineering is one of five departments of CISO, focusing on advising on and monitoring of a secure IT environment, now and tomorrow. We do not care much for hierarchy, we get the job done together. We do care about professionalism and achieving results. And that is where you come in.

Your profile
In general you feel comfortable in all three aspects of this job. You are a (1) content leader, a (2) bridge-builder and effective partner, and a (3) team leader. You feel comfortable in taking the lead and taking initiative, and are recognized for your skills in all three area’s.
In more detail we are looking for the following experience and skillset:
- At least 10 years relevant experience in the information security space;
- Strong knowledge of IT Security;
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure;
- Experience with working in or with IT infrastructure departments;
- A solid understanding of security risk management concepts;
- Preferably experience in the financial sector;
- Experienced advisor and proven track record in stakeholder management;
- Outgoing, easy communicator, effective in verbal and written communication;
- Pro-active, goal-oriented, problem solving, positive mindset;
- Experienced HR manager of security professionals;
- Fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
